Privacy & cookie policy

The short version

This site sets no analytics or marketing cookies until you choose to allow them. The calculators run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere. The quote funnel sends only the answers you type — ZIP code, age, household size, income band and tobacco use — to our own server so it can look up plans for your county, and it does not ask for your name.

When you contact us deliberately — the contact form, a phone call, an email, or booking a call — we use those details to help you with insurance, and for nothing else.

What we collect when you contact us

If you go on to work with us on a plan, we will need more — your date of birth, your Medicare number or Social Security number, your doctors and your prescriptions. That information is collected during the enrolment process, held under the privacy rules that apply to licensed insurance producers, and shared only with the carrier and the enrolment platform needed to process your application.

• Your name and email address, which the contact form requires so we can reply
• Your phone number and ZIP code, if you choose to give them
• What you tell us in the message field
• Your consent to be contacted, which we record with a timestamp

What the quote funnel sends

The plan-finder on this site sends your ZIP code, county, age, household size, income estimate and tobacco answer to our own server, which passes them to a licensed plan-data service to retrieve plans for your area. It does not ask for, and does not send, your name, contact details or any identifier.

No third-party service receives anything directly from your browser. All lookups are proxied server-side.

Cookies and similar storage

A cookie banner appears on your first visit. Nothing beyond strictly necessary storage is set until you make a choice, and analytics and marketing tags are held inert until you allow them.

• Strictly necessary — remembering your cookie choice and keeping forms secure. These cannot be switched off and set no identifiers used for advertising.
• Analytics — anonymous, aggregated statistics about which pages and guides people find useful. Off by default.
• Marketing — measuring whether an advert or a social post led someone to a helpful page. Off by default.

Changing your mind

Select "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to change your choices at any time. Your preference is stored in your own browser, so clearing your browser data resets it and the banner will appear again.

To ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, email sarah@cupsinsurance.com or call 435-292-8777. We will respond within a reasonable period. Records we are required to retain under insurance regulations will be kept for as long as those rules require.

Who else is involved

This website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider, which processes standard server request logs. Scheduling is handled by our external booking tool, and enrolment is completed on carrier or federal platforms such as HealthCare.gov. Each of those services operates under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with lead-generation companies or data brokers.

Communications

If you ask us to contact you, a licensed agent may call, text or email you about your insurance options. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying, by emailing, or by telling us on the phone, and we will.

Children

This site is intended for adults making insurance decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.
